Are you presenting data at SFN 2014?

November 11, 2014

I’ll extend my usual no-promises offer.

If you either drop your presentation details in the comments here or email me (drugmnky at the google mail) I’ll try to work it into my schedule.

If it is really cool (and I can understand it) I might even blog it.

Hope to catch up with old blog friends and meet a few new folks.

See y’all at BANTER.

Don’t you neuro geeks have embargoes on your abstract until the meeting date? All the major meetings in my field hold back the abstracts until the beginning, or sometimes the end, of the meeting. Sucks ball sack and really impedes my abstract stalking activities.

Generally no embargoes. All of the conferences I’ve attended, at least, make the abstracts available online months before the meeting. SFN even has an app/itinerary planner. But then usually I submit a manuscript within a week or so of submitting the conference abstract, so…

    Hi,
Enjoy your comments here. My students and I will be presenting on Monday
10:00 A36 295.15 Optogenetic interrogation of synaptic inhibition onto granule cells of the dentate gyrus by GABAergic interneuron grafts in the mouse pilocarpine
model of temporal lobe epilepsy. J. GUPTA*; K. HENDERSON; G. AARON; J. NAEGELE. Wesleyan Univ.

Happily we just published this work in Journal of Neuroscience in October 2014.
I also tweet about neuroscience and women in STEM #janicenaegele

I won’t be able to make it this year, but my wife’s poster is Tuesday afternoon 599.05/D20 “Rapid PACAP Induced Plasitcity at Autonomic Synapses Requires NACHr-dependent NOS1 Activation and AKAP-mediated PKA Targeting”. If you get a chance to do a drive-by, it would make a great surprise for her. Thanks.
