As far as I can tell to date, the advice goes pretty much, “Were you reading DrugMonkey? Yes? Ok then.”

I think the best lesson is that people on the study section might very well be reading your twits.

Ha, you are too kind. but I’m sure there are always differences and nuances which is why I think people should seek out many different sources of advice….

Yes, DJMH, except the answer to the question was a resounding “who?” (No offense, DM). Amazed that in a room of 200 FACULTY, half of whom apparently had K awards, so few seemed to understand basic NIH things like the difference between a PO and an SRO, or what qualified someone as a New Investigator.

That’s kind of sad. And while I’m heartened these ones had the gumption to attend this thing you went to….think of all those that did not. Ahh, well, it puts the blogotariat a tinch ahead of the game. Good.
