Quite a shame for someone still in the prime of life to die suddenly.

Yes, much more of a shame than old dirty people who we don’t need.

We mourn those who have touched us in some way, famous people, and particularly entertainers, do so for millions. Aka grow up. If you wish to be remembered, make people give a fuck about you.

My first crush was Whitney. “I wanna dance” had just come out and I was utterly smitten. Then again in 1992 (?) when Bodyguard came out – she was the spitting (albeit black) version of a girl who had just broken my heart (first real heart break). I bought the VHS and dreamed of being her (both of them) Kevin Costner. This is so sad, she was so talented and the industry ate her up.

Dumfucke, is it as much a shame when a ninety-eight-year-old dies as it is when a seventy-eight-year-old dies as it is when a forty-eight-year-old dies as it is when a twenty-eight-year-old dies as it is when an eight-year-old dies? Normal human beings calibrate their sense of tragedy to the circumstances.
