One last plea for your money to help children learn

October 22, 2011

Do you like arbitrary targets? The overall blogger drive is sitting at $49,620 as of this writing.

Can we make it an even $50,000?

The final hours are upon us….. you know what to do!

Dude, high five! Together, we *almost* beat the stuffing out of Phil Plait!

And we have absolutely pwnd the big-name scienceblogging networks. I mean, really, Freethought Blogs and Scientopia Blogs, individually and collectively, left Discover and Scientific American so far in our dust that they had to be choking. They have the huge audiences and the big public footprint, and they couldn’t even come close! How awesome is that? How awesome are we?

So what do you think of an official cross-network team-up next year? I think we could make some fun and amazing things happen.

I donated to a blogger on Freethought Blogs, but you apparently didn’t need the help anyway. 🙂

Thanks for donating Juniper. You know it doesn’t really matter to me which drive you donate under…helping some classrooms get what they need is the only real goal.

Dana, nice work! You really shook the trees on this and your readers were fantastic participants.

This is what happens when you PIs train more scientist with no regard for the supply of jobs. I am sure your solution will be to increase science funding. Yeah, right! Like that worked out in the past.

You may not have much control over the supply of dollars, but you certainly have dominion and control over the demand. Unless, of course, you keep creating more demand for science dollars by training even more scientist.
