Diversity in Science Carnival #1 is up!

The first edition of the Diversity in Science Blog Carnival is up at Urban Science Adventures! blog, hosted by DNLee. This inaugural edition focuses on people of the African diaspora in honor of the US Black History Month celebrations.
I got a little excited about this Carnival, as you’ve noticed DearReaders.
But there are a wealth of interesting blog posts, covering a broad swath of both semi-historical figures and current inspirational ass kickers. So do yourself a favor. Go Read.

Not at all DNLee it is rather you that deserves major props. I quite enjoyed myself writing the posts, at the very least it made for some slightly different blogging. Always good to try something a little different and I was interested to see what my (living) subjects had to say about my initial approaches to them for permission.
Reading the efforts of other bloggers was fantastic fun.
I was reminded of a story (the open heart stabbing repair one) that I remembered immediately but hadn’t head of nor thought about for decades.
I learned about several current ass-kickers in a variety of fields of science and technology.
The phrase “Only Vivien stands there” will remain with me for a long time.
